Fan Fiction

There's a line somewhere that says something like "I wish I could write what I dream".

That about sums up my problem. I'm a great plotter but a lousy writer. I know that part of the problem is I'm just too slow and too delibrate - I've got at least 3 XF fics that are still waiting to be finished after 5 years! That's why I decided to stick with the collages and photo manipulations, however I have ventured into the realm of fiction a few times. There are existing pages for my Sentinel and X-Files fic but this page houses the lot in title order - plus a couple of things that haven't been posted before.
BTW: most stories here are presented as they were posted to mailing lists or newsgroups.

  • Bar Stool 1
X-Files: The first in an unfinished series set in a DC bar and involving a XF character in conversation with the worldly wise bartender.

  • Bar Stool 2
X-Files: The second in an unfinished series set in a DC bar and involving a XF character in conversation with the worldly wise bartender.

  • Best Performance By
X-Files: An epic tale of dimension bending and swapped lives. Note: features 'real life' people. A Spooky Award nominee.

  • Brother Of Mine
The Sentinel: Originally posted to the Sentinel Angst list. Continuing what seems to be my TS trend this is another fic inspired by song. I first pondered the idea when I heard the song for the first time in ages earlier this year. For some reason it just seemed perfect for the backdrop to a few words from Stephen's side of the fence. The accompanying image can be found on The Sentinel Art Gallery.

  • Can't Get Enough
The Sentinel: Rated: PG - pre-slash My first effort in keeping The Sentinel flame alive; this one is rated 'pre-slash' - ie: romantic feeling vis male to male are implied though not acted upon…well, not much.

  • A Case Worth Investigating
X-Files: A collabrative effort between myself and my good friend DJ Rout. Set in the glory days of the X-Files it features all those things we love about the series - conspiracy, ditchings, cryptic utterances and Frohike in a Corvette.

  • Facial Tics
    X-Files: Sap. Pure, unmittigated sap.

  • Flame Trees
The Sentinel: An unfinished snippet written for the Sentinel Angst list. I did find a page of notes for this piece when I was cleaning out recently so who knows, I might just finish it one day :-) .

  • Ka'a
X-Files: This began as an exercise between myself and a friend one dreadfully dull day at work. It is incomplete…or maybe as complete as it will ever be. There is no plot other than Mulder, Scully and a creature of sensual exploration. This one is rated NC-17 and contains sexual references and adult themes.

  • A New Dawn
The Sentinel: Originally posted to the Sentinel Angst list. The introduction is longer that the actual vignette! Posted as to the SA list - for your full appreciation. The accompanying image can be found on The Sentinel Art Gallery.

  • Under The Wire
Mag Seven: My first and only M7 piece - so far. Ever since I started to get into the fandom I've been intrigued with the idea of an AU that had the Seven as participants in the classic POW movie 'The Great Escape'. A fic challenge gave me the chance to try my arm with this introductory snippet.

  • The Visitor
X-Files: A brief encounter between 3 people. One with a quest, one with a secret and one with a future.

  • Forever Tuesday Morning
Queer As Folk (US): I've wanted to use this title for something...anything for years. My recent immersion into the world of QAF fan fic provided me with the right inspiration.
A short POV snippet. Rated only NC-17 for adult themes and a word or two of the 'four letter' variety, but contains no actual violence or sex.
