Vin by the Door
This did not start out as a M7 picture. I was just fiddling around with swirly kinda abstract pattern - torturing with through various filters as one does. Getting bored with that I was 'flicking' through my collected stock images when I came across the image of the doorway. For some reason I combined the two - still not sure what I was trying to achieve...maybe something suggesting graffiti and urban decay.

Anyway as I sat staring at the resulting picture I remembered this shot of Eric Close. "Hey" I thought, "I could put him on the step there and make it look like Vin waiting outside his place in Purtargio"

So I did *g*

It took me a few tries to get it right but the result's not bad - I even remembered to add the illusion of shadow to the appropriate areas.

Of course once I had the picture completed I ran it through a few art style filters. Below the main picture is the best of the bunch - I do like the illustration effect. Oh..and that particular pic was created using one of the earlier versions, that's why Vin's a little too close to the edge of the step and his foot looks like it's hanging in space.
